PROTEST NASA'S RETURN TO MONKEY EXPERIMENTS
Scientists at NASA want to blast up to 28 squirrel monkeys with a massive dose of gamma rays in order to "simulate" the space radiation that they would be exposed to if they were humans on a three-year mission to Mars. The monkeys will then spend the rest of their lives forced to perform a host of "behavioral tasks" to assess how the radiation affected their brains.

Please join PETA in urging NASA to terminate its plans to conduct radiation experiments using monkeys.

What: Protest against NASA's experiments on monkeys

When: Thursday, January 28, 12 noon

Where: Johnson Space Center, southeast intersection of Space Center and Bay Area boulevards, Houston

This demonstration will include a visual aspect, with people sitting in cages. If you would like to volunteer to be in a cage—or if you want more information about the demonstration or would like to RSVP—please contact David Shirk at 206-818-0773 or DavidShirk@peta.org. All materials will be provided.
